This photo was part of a photo essay I made on stalking… (A young woman waiting at a bus stop)
Whilst looking at it the other day, I got to thinking what was real and what was reflection?
The reflections bounce of various surfaces into one big mass reflection from several sources… the van and shop windows, to the traffic lights and bus shelter itself….
I like the layered, built up look that reflections can give. Like an over lay of images and information..
Have you ever seen reflections in water where you can’t tell what’s real?
Mirror images on top of each other in beautiful symmetry… quite breath taking.
At some point I am going to delve further into this world and experiment with multiple reflective images..
Today I submitted a self portrait to an online portrait gallery ( somedancersandmusicians.com).
Okay so I might not be the best drawer in the world, but I love simple child-like drawings and doodles that you can fill with colour. Guess it takes me back to the colouring book and crayons I was given as gifts in my childhood..
I like the fact you can fill your world with colour and make it how you want.

Visitors Studio Was the programme I used to create the following moving image clip which resulted in layers of moving and still imagery with an mp3 audio track that Depicts a stereo-typical view of women by referring to them as Birds.
During my first year of the degree I’m undertaking, I experimented with photography on one of my projects. Here are a few images of the outcome. The idea behind the project was how make up on young, vulnerable girls can actually change them and trap them behind a mask or facade, disguising who they really are and somewhat aging them.
I wanted to create texture to show a caking effect, trapping the skins ability to breathe free and making the wearer seem some-what freakish. The make-up was purposely applied badly to show her naivety. Capturing the expression of a lost soul with a vacant gaze.
